Nantucket Summer Camp Private Jet Charter

Getting to Nantucket without a charter means a ferry or a connection, which is why so much of the island’s summer traffic arrives by private aircraft.

Camp Travel

Camp travel is a fixed date at both ends and a group of young passengers, often unaccompanied. We arrange the aircraft and the handover, and we confirm with the operator what supervision is required on board.

Trunks and Equipment

Trunks take more baggage space than a normal trip, and on the smaller aircraft that serve the island that is the first thing to check rather than the last.

Booking Ahead for Camp Dates

Camp dates are fixed a long way in advance, which makes these among the easiest trips to arrange ahead. Booking early matters more here than most places, because those weeks fall inside the island’s busiest season.

Nantucket-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

The tower keeps seasonal hours: six in the morning until ten at night from May 15th to September 30th, and six until nine at night through the winter. The airport’s rescue and firefighting cover runs on the summer window, and cover outside it has to be arranged in advance.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Before we confirm anything, we check:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • The operator’s safety and incident history
  • That the pilots are experienced, qualified and current on the aircraft type you will be flying on
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them
